About the Anti-Racism Table

The Anti-Racism Table is tasked with making recommendations to the PEI government to view practices and activities through a culturally inclusive lens. In particular, the Table will develop actions to address systemic racism in and through:

  • Education
  • Justice and policing services
  • Provincial legislation, regulations, and policies
  • Opportunities for employment and job security
  • Health, mental health, and wellbeing
  • Housing
  • Social programs

Anti-Racism Table Members

The Anti-Racism Table is composed of representatives of various ethnocultural community organizations as well as five members at large.

Members who are appointed to represent ethnocultural community organizations are required to be members in good standing, with the authority to establish and maintain ongoing communication between the Anti-Racism Table and the organization they represent.

Members at large are selected from applications received through Engage PEI as part of the public engagement and recruitment process for agencies, boards and commissions.
