The Honourable Barb Ramsay was sworn in as Minister of Social Development and Seniors on April 14, 2023.

As MLA for District 22, Summerside-South Drive, she has worked as a Youth Addictions Worker with the Youth Justice Facility and Strength Program, a Patient Care Worker with the medical and palliative units at Prince County Hospital and a Life Skills Coach.

Twice elected to Summerside City Council, Barb has been the Council representative for emergency services and Co-Chair of the Planning Committee. Currently, Barb serves on the Cabinet Committee on Policies and Priorities for the Government of PEI. Barb is a mother of two and a grandmother to six.
