Request a Message or Proclamation

The Premier offers two types of messages to non-profit and non-partisan groups, sports organizations and governing bodies of Prince Edward Island, as follows:

  1. A proclamation or declaration recognizes the effort and commitment of an organization within the Province of Prince Edward Island whose mandate enhances the community. A proclamation may be signed in-person with the Premier or a Minister and up to two representatives of your organization, as schedules permit; and
  2. A written message of congratulations or support for an event of importance or significance to Prince Edward Island to be published in a program or online platform.

What information is required?

You are required to provide contact information including a mailing address. Messages will be sent by email, whereas an original signed copy of the proclamation will be mailed to the address provided.

For a proclamation, you may include proposed wording; use clear and concise language and limit the length of the submission.

How much lead time is required?

To ensure that you receive your message or proclamation in time for your event, please allow a minimum of three weeks for delivery.

Complete the online request form. All submissions will be reviewed by staff of the Premier's Office, and you will be contacted if additional information is needed.
