Seniors' Secretariat Grant
The PEI Seniors’ Secretariat achieves progress in its work plan through collaboration and/or funding other organizations to undertake project work. The intent of this funding program is to invite eligible organizations and communities to undertake projects that are designed to improve the lives of older adults in Prince Edward Island.
Is my organization eligible to apply?
Non-profit organizations, community-based coalitions, networks, municipal governments, and organizations that support Indigenous peoples in Prince Edward Island are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to senior serving clubs and organizations.
How many applications can I submit?
Eligible applicants can submit up to three applications, each requesting up to $5,000.00.
Is there anything I need to do before completing my application(s)?
Prior to applying, eligible applicants are encouraged to review the Seniors’ Secretariat Grant Funding Guidelines (2024-2025). This document will provide more details about the Grant and application process and includes an example application.

When is the deadline for applications?
Applications for the 2024-2025 funding cycle will be accepted until Friday, April 5, 2024.
When will I know if my organization is receiving funding?
All applications are extensively reviewed by a subcommittee of the Seniors’ Secretariat. Due to the review process and anticipated number of applications to be received, it is expected that organizations will know if they are selected for 2024-2025 funding in early summer 2024.
