Apply for Provincial Parks Student Positions
The online application process for students looking for summer employment in Prince Edward Island provincial parks is open until March 31, 2024.
The expected hourly rate of pay in 2024 is $15.86 to $23.48.
Who can apply?
For the purpose of this competition, a student is defined as a person that has been in full-time attendance at an educational institution and affirms that they will be returning to full-time attendance in the fall of the same year.
Applicants should be friendly, outgoing, mature, willing to learn, and enjoy working with the public.
Positions are available for lifeguards at beaches and pools as well as students to carry out programs and daily activities for campers.
What do I need to complete the application?
Persons wishing to compete for the provincial parks positions must complete the online application providing the following information:
- your preferred work location
- dates of availability
- work experience
- education
- a resume (optional)
How long does the application take to complete?
If you have your resume ready to upload, the application will take less than 20 minutes to complete. If you wish to fill out all of the information required it may take a little longer.
What happens after I apply?
- Applications are sorted by region and job preference.
- Potential candidates are called for an interview.
- Typically, positions are filled no later than June 1st.
- Student positions run for 8 to 10 weeks, starting from late June to late August.
Uniforms are provided at no cost to students and lifeguards.
