Construction in Tyne Valley resumes August 6

Construction is returning to Rink Road in Tyne Valley on Tuesday, Aug. 6 and will wrap up in about six weeks.

Construction will begin at the Rink Road and Route 12 intersection. The work continues west for 800 meters on Rink Road and then goes east for 115 metres on Port Hill Station, ending where the pavement begins.

Excavators and other large equipment will be replacing a culvert, placing sandstone, gravel, asphalt, and landscaping. Earlier work on Rink Road included preparing the area for road construction and installing sewer lines.

Please obey signs and traffic control personnel. Motorists should reduce speed and prepare to stop. There may be some delays.
