Hennebery, Teresa
With more than 35 years of federal and provincial government experience, Teresa Hennebery’s current leadership role is Deputy Minister of Social Development and Seniors for the Province of Prince Edward Island. Prior to this, Teresa served as Deputy Minster of Family and Human Services for the Province of PEI, Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Assistant Deputy Minister of Health Operations. During the global pandemic, Teresa worked in the Chief Public Health Office as part of the provincial COVID-19 Response Team.
Passionate about giving back to the community and helping those in need, Teresa has held leadership roles in the non-profit sector as an Executive Director and as a volunteer board member. She received the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for her work commitment to the PEI public service in February 2023.
Teresa has a degree in Nursing from the University of New Brunswick, a post-graduate Diploma in Health Services Administration (University of Alberta) and a Master of Public Administration (Queen’s University), specializing in policy development.
An active community member, Teresa lives in Stratford, PEI.
