Rowell, Tanya M
Tanya Rowell was appointed as CEO of the PEI Public Service Commission on October 24, 2019. She originally joined the Government of Prince Edward Island in 2001 and has held several senior roles within human resources in the departments of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Environment; Tourism; and Health and Social Services; the Queen Elizabeth Hospital; and the Public Service Commission. For the past five years, she served as Director of Human Resource Management and Labour Relations with the Public Service Commission where she led significant and varied work initiatives on behalf of government.
Tanya graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and also holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management. She is a current member of the Holland College Human Resource Management Advisory Committee and has held her Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation since 2004.
Tanya lives in Charlottetown with her husband and four children.
