Arts Grants Peer Assessment Nomination Form

Cultural Development
April 30, 2024

The PEI Arts Grants program is designed to support the development of artistic practice through a competitive granting system. The process for assessment is modeled after the best practice of using peer assessment committees (PACs) to select successful projects and award funding amounts. It follows the standards of the Canada Council for the Arts.

The Cultural Development division coordinates peer-led processes for grant distribution. Peer assessment provides the best possible means of identifying outstanding ability and artistic merit in the arts and culture sector. Each PAC shall consist of a Chairperson and a committee of peer assessors as assembled by the Cultural Development division.

Members of the arts community and the general public are invited to download and complete the Peer Assessment Nomination Form and submit it for themselves or another individual to serve on an upcoming peer assessment committee. The Cultural Development division will contact the nominated peer assessor if the nomination is approved.
