Acadian and Francophone Affairs Secretariat

The Acadian and Francophone Affairs Secretariat supports the provincial government on matters related to the Acadian and Francophone community of Prince Edward Island. The Secretariat advises the government on the provision of programs and services in French in order to align them on the priority needs of the Acadian and Francophone community. The Secretariat is also charged with the administration of the French Language Services Act and its regulations.

The Secretariat’s goal in this context is to influence the development, the implementation and the ongoing enhancement of programs and services provided in French.
