Birding on Prince Edward Island

Bird watching and bird feeding are common pastimes for many Islanders. Since records began, some 368 bird species have been observed on the Island in forests, coastal regions, wetlands and other areas.

The Birds of Prince Edward Island and Nature PEI sites contain many resources for interested birders including lists of reported species, species known to nest on PEI and general information on birds.  

Where can I see Island Birds?

Many public land properties, Demonstration Woodlots, parks, and Natural Areas are open to bird watching.
