Wildlife Conservation Fund

What is the Wildlife Conservation Fund?

The Wildlife Conservation Fund provides funding for the protection and enhancement of wildlife and wildlife habitats on Prince Edward Island. The fund is generated from the annual licence fees of anglers, hunters and trappers, and from the sale of motor vehicle conservation plates.

Angling/Hunting/Trapping annual WCF fees (HST-inclusive) are:

  • $20 including HST
    • $13 for seniors 65 years of age and over including HST
    • No WCF fee for youth under the age of 16.

The motor vehicle Conservation Plate has an annual (renewable) fee of $10 and one hundred percent of this fee goes to the Wildlife Conservation Fund.
