Government hosts presentation on creating healthier communities

Supporting Island families -

A free presentation will explore how staying healthy means more than just diet and exercise.

All Islanders are invited to “Ensuring the Future Health of Our Children and Grandchildren…It Takes a Village,” on November 2 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Benevolent Irish Society in Charlottetown (582 North River Road). The presenter is Todd Leader, a registered psychologist and social worker with 27 years’ experience as a transformational leader in health services and promotion.

Leader will discuss how to create a healthy community for the next generation, and what each of us can do to make a difference.

There will be a door prize of a $100 grocery card.

This event is hosted by the Chief Public Health Office of the provincial government’s Department of Health and Wellness, in partnership with the East Prince Seniors Initiative, Health PEI, and Heart & Stroke PEI. For more information, e-mail hpconference@gov.pe.ca or visit the Facebook event.
