Islanders invited to provide feedback on Responsible Gambling Strategy

Islanders can provide their input to update the current Responsible Gambling Strategy through online submissions beginning today.

Through the PEI Lotteries Commission, Government awarded the MRSB group in updating, developing, and delivering the Province’s Responsible Gambling Strategy. MRSB is tasked with engaging many different groups, including mental health and addictions professionals, representatives from the Department of Health and Wellness and the Department of Justice and Public Safety, commercial stakeholders, and those who are most affected by gambling within the general public.

“Government’s priority in updating the Responsible Gambling Strategy is to ensure that Islanders who choose to play must have the ability to do so in a safe and responsible manner. As we work towards updating this Responsible Gambling strategy, we want to ensure that all Islanders and stakeholders have the opportunity to share their comments on updates for the strategy.”

- Minister of Finance Darlene Compton

Members of the public are encouraged to provide feedback through the bilingual public consultation survey. Additionally, charitable organizations on PEI will have the opportunity to complete a bilingual survey and will be contacted directly.

Finally, Islanders and stakeholders are invited to participate in a series of public meetings that will be hosted through virtual consultations and can register at Islanders invited to provide feedback on Responsible Gambling Strategy.
