Our History
The Bibliothèque publique Dr.-J.-Edmond-Arsenault is located in a multi-functional facility known as the Carrefour de l'Isle-Saint-Jean. Founded in October 1991, its purpose is to bring together the resources of Francophones and Acadians in the greater Charlottetown area and to help celebrate their culture and language. The facility is also home to École François-Buote, Charlottetown's only French-language school. The Bibliothèque publique Dr.-J.-Edmond-Arsenault has the distinction of being one of the PEI Public Library Service's French-language libraries.
