Manure Nutrient Analysis Report 2023

In 2019, the PEI Department of Agriculture’s (PEIDA) Sustainable Agriculture Section initiated a manure sampling project on multiple farms across PEI. The sampling project included four commodities: dairy, beef, swine, and poultry, with the goal to develop provincial averages for manure nutrient content values, by commodity, for use by farmers, agronomists and nutrient management planners across PEI. This report highlights manure sampling as an essential component to manure application best management practices.
