PEI has recently completed a province-wide Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA). A risk assessment helps the province better understand climate-related risks in PEI and develop appropriate measures to respond. Visit Climate Change Risks to lean more about how the CCRA was developed.

The Rural Communities Council provides advice and makes recommendations to Government regarding rural topics related to the themes of people, communities, the environment and wellness and explore opportunities for development in rural PEI. What is the function of the council? Specifically, the Rural Communities Council: Examines, discusses and reviews Government strategies.
PEI Seafood Sector Economic Contribution Study
The PEI Seafood Sector Economic Contribution Study, prepared by Ernst and Young for PEI Marine Science Organization, examines the direct and indirect impacts of the various sectors within the seafood industry. The outcome of the report is an estimation of the economic footprint of the seafood industry in the province while also highlighting challenges and opportunities faced by the seafood sector as described by stakeholers engaged.
