Personalized License Plates - Online Application

Personalized license plates (also known as vanity plates) are available for passenger vehicles registered in PEI, this includes motorcycles.  A personalized plate will be issued by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles providing that the proposed message (made up of numbers or slogan) meets approved criteria and does not conflict with a pre-existing plate or series.

General Overview:

  • Please remember that slogans are approved on a case by case basis by the Registrar of Motor Vehicles. This is to ensure no plates are issued with offensive material.
  • When ordering a personalized plate as a gift for someone else, you must visit an Access PEI location to complete the application in person.
  • Prior to submitting your request and payment, and in order to avoid disappointment, you can call 1-833-734-1873 to see if your requested plate is available.
