Malfunction with the wastewater disposal system in Victoria

Le contenu suivant est seulement disponible en anglais.

The Chief Public Health Office was notified today of a malfunction with the wastewater disposal system in Victoria which may have led to sewage entering the coastal water, although this is unlikely. The malfunction has since been corrected, and sampling of the coastal water will be completed this week.

While the risk of sewage entering the coastal water is very low, anyone who may have been in contact with the water (e.g. swimming) over the previous two weeks AND are experiencing any of the following symptoms: skin rash, vomiting, and/or diarrhea, should speak to their health care provider.
