Pesticide Vendor Certificate
Any business that is licensed to sell pesticides must employ staff that have a Pesticide Vendor Certificate. Two types of certificates are available:
- a Domestic Pesticide Vendor Certificate for employees of businesses that sell domestic class pesticides, and
- a Non-Domestic Pesticide Vendor Certificate for employees of businesses that sell commercial, restricted, or manufacturing class pesticides.
What are the requirements?
To obtain a Domestic or Non-Domestic Pesticide Vendor Certificate, you must:
- be 18 years of age;
- successfully complete a written exam (mark of 75 per cent or higher); and
- complete and submit one of the following application forms:
What are the fees?
$75. There is no HST.
Payments may be made by cash, cheque or credit card. Make cheques payable to the Minister of Finance.
When does the certificate expire?
Certificates are valid for a maximum period of five years.
How do I renew my certificate?
You must successfully re-write the exam to renew your certificate.
