Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA)
The Canada-Prince Edward Island Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA) represents a Federal investment of approximately $25 million annually in the Prince Edward Island labour market. This investment is designed to assist the labour needs of PEI employers and organizations while helping to improve the skills and employability of Prince Edward Islanders.
LMDA programs are aimed at helping Employment Insurance (EI) clients and unemployed individuals to prepare for and obtain sustainable employment. Activities include sector specific initiatives to assist employers in meeting their human resource needs.

Funded by the Department of Workforce, Advanced Learning and Population through the Canada-PEI labour market agreements.
