Provincial Student Loan Repayment

You must begin to repay the Provincial portion of your student loan twelve months after the last date you attended school on a full-time basis.  The twelve months after your last day of full-time study is referred to as your “non-repayment period” or “grace period.”The provincial portion of your PEI Student Loan is interest free, as long as you remain in good standing.

Where do I find out how much I owe and what my payment will be?

Edulinx PEI will attempt to contact you by phone or mail to discuss your repayment options prior to going into repayment; but it is your responsibility to contact Edulinx PEI should they not be able to reach you.

You can visit Edulinx PEI at https://pei.edulinx.ca and register for Edulinx’s online services, which will give you access to your current balance, payment amount, and date, etc.  Or, you can contact Edulinx PEI by phone a 1-877-560-1389.

What if I am having difficulty paying my payment each month?

If you think you will not be able to make your regular monthly payments, or you have already missed a loan payment, contact Edulinx PEI by phone at 1-877-560-1389 to discuss your repayment options.

Please Note:  If your provincial loan has been in default/arrears for nine (9) or more months please contact the PEI Student Financial Assistance office at (902) 368-4640 or email studentloan@gov.pe.ca.
