Charlottetown Area Development Corporation

The Charlottetown Area Development Corporation shall (a) innovate, invest and provide expertise for projects; (b) act as a catalyst with the private sector; and (c) initiate development projects and facilitate urban renewal.

What is the function of the organization?

Property development and management.

How many people make up the board of directors?

The Board of Directors shall be composed of (a) not less than two and not more than seven persons; (b) not less than one and not more than two persons designated by the City of Charlottetown; (c) one person designated by the Town of Stratford; and one person designated by the Town of Cornwall.

What are the requirements of organization members?

Skills Required
It is recommended that board member collectively have the following attributes (a) property development/management experience; (b) entrepreneur;  (c) Under 40 years of age business person; (d) representation of social interests (e) a member of a regulated profession ie. lawyer or accountant, and (f) successful community/business leaders/managers.

What is the time commitment?

The anticipated time commitment is monthly meetings.

Members shall serve for a term of one year and may be eligible for re-appointment.

Will I get paid?

No Remuneration
