Farm Practices Review Board

The Department of Agriculture is soliciting applications for non-farmer members to the Farm Practices Review Board. The role of the Review Board is to make a determination on applications by persons aggrieved by a disturbance resulting from an agricultural operation as to whether the disturbance results from a normal farm practice, as defined in the Farm Practices Act. The Department values and supports diversity in representation in its agencies, boards and commissions and encourages applicants from across the Island’s diverse population.

Members are appointed to serve terms of up to three (3) years and are eligible for reappointment.

Regulated Health Professions Councils 

Would you like to support a health profession by sitting on one of the regulated councils as a public representative? The role of each of the Regulated Health Professions Councils are to ensure standards of practice, regulate the practice of the health profession, and other duties. As a public representative, your role helps provide for accountability to the public for the regulated health professions.

Councils under the Regulated Health Professions Act include:

• Council of the Prince Edward Island College of Occupational Therapists
• Council of the College of Allied Health Professionals of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Counselling Therapy of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Dental Hygienists of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Dietitians of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Massage Therapists of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island
• Council of the Prince Edward Island College of Pharmacy
• Council of the Prince Edward Island College of Physiotherapy
• Council of the Prince Edward Island Dental College
• Council of the College of Optometrists of Prince Edward Island

Members may not receive a per diem for this board but may be eligible for reimbursement for travel expenses to attend meetings and events.
