Approved Food Safety Training Programs
The PEI Department of Health & Wellness recognizes certain food safety training programs as equivalent to the National Guidelines for Food Safety Training Programs in the Food Retail and Food Service Sectors.
The following food safety training programs have been deemed acceptable under Section 24(1) of the PEI Public Health Food Premises Regulations:
- SERVSAFE
- SERVSAFE – Online Course
- SERVSAFE Manager - Online Course
- FOODSAFE Level 1 - Online or In-Person
- FOODSAFE Level 2 - Online or In-Person
- Restaurants Canada, National Food Safety Training Program
- Traincan Basics - Online or In-Person
- Traincan Advanced - Online or In-Person
- Retail Council of Canada FoodWise Food Safety Program - Online Course
- Safe Check Advanced Food Safety - Online or In-Person
- Probe It Food Safety - Online Course
- Food Safety Training - Online Course
- Food Safety Market - Online or In-Person
- Canadian Institute of Food Safety - Online Course
- InstaCert - Online Course
- ServeWell - Online Course
- KnowledgeWare Food Safety for Food Handlers - Online Course
