Seniors Community Meal Grant Pilot Program

PEI organizations may be eligible for provincial funding to assist with the costs to provide meals to seniors. The Seniors Community Meal Grant Pilot Program helps offset food costs to create new community meal programs or increase capacity in existing community meal programs. Meals can be provided at a one-time event or at re-occurring events at no cost to the seniors.

Successful applicants can receive up to $5,000. The grant can be used to cover of the cost of food, delivery (fuel) expenses, honorarium for cooking/preparation staff and other miscellaneous equipment supplies (i.e. Hairnets, napkins, gloves, disposable cookware). Additionally, other direct expenses related to the project will be considered.

Applications must be submitted by March 22, 2024. All approved projects must complete the event(s) and submit a final report by June 30, 2024. They may be asked to submit records of expenditures during or after the project.
